Summary of eRumor: Clothing
designer Liz Claiborne appeared on a national television talk show and
said that she was a Satan worshipper and that the profits of her company
were being given to the Church of Satan.
The Truth: This
is a hoax.
It is actually the same as the now infamous
Procter
and Gamble eRumor except that somewhere along the way, it got attached
to Liz Claiborne.
No such TV interview ever took place and no such
announcement about Satanism has been made.
Some versions say the interview took place on the Oprah show.
Liz Claiborne died on June 26, 2007 at the age of 78.
